Abs with exercise balls

Exercise balls provide an excellent way of doing abdomen exercises. Ab crunches can be done easily and without any stress to other parts of the body. Exercise balls help to strengthen your abdominal muscles and to get a perfect shape. You can do lower abdominal exercises, middle and upper abdominal exercises and oblique exercises with exercise balls. You can do these exercises on a large smooth ball with the help of a physical trainer.

The exercise ball is a great tool for strengthening abdomens and also to get over all coordination. You can improve your concentration level and balance of the body. You can meet several challenges while doing abdominal exercises on ball. Just ensure the ball is not hard because you will find it difficult to move or roll hard balls.

You can do Ab rolls with exercise balls. Sit on the floor on your knees and position your hands in the ball straightly. Then try to roll the ball with your belly. This will help to get strengthened abdominal muscles. But if you have any back pain, avoid doing ab rolls.

Once you practiced well in ball then you can start some advanced abdominal exercises on ball. This is an alternative to conventional ab work outs that causes stress and body pain. First you lie down on the ball with the support of your head just like a bridge. Then lift your left leg slowly. Do not bend your knees. Then do the same for your right leg. Be sure that you stand on your feet and not on toes. Repeat this exercise for 10 to 12 times. Then give a short break for some 30 seconds.

Ball squeeze is another exercise for abdomen. Lie down on the floor. Keep the ball tightly between your feet and try to squeeze. Contact your abdomen while doing this. Try to lift your left leg. Repeat the same for other side of your body.

Ball circles are another exercise. You keep your elbows in the ball and bend slightly. Try to roll the ball in small circles. It will benefit you to get strong abdomens. But before starting these advanced abdomen exercises, be sure you do not feel any pain.
