Rowers

There are innumerable exercise that helps you in building your body and keeping your body fit. But most of the exercises concentrate only to a particular part of the body. However there are some exercises that give you a complete workout of the body. One such exercise is rowing. It helps you in keeping your body completely fit. This exercise has been regarded as the best since very long time. But it always doesn't become feasible for everyone to go to a riverside and row a boat. So this exercise is often neglected as it can't be performed by the people every time. So there are certain equipments that have perfectly substituted this activity and have brought it to the homes. So now you can get the same rowing experience while sitting at your home. These equipments are known as rowers.

About the equipment

A rower is a machine that simulates the action of watercraft rowing. It solves the purpose of exercise also. This equipment is also known as an ergometer. An ergometer is a device which measures the amount of energy or work performed. So this is an equipment which measures the amount of energy that you are putting forward and consequently the amount of calories that you are burning. So we can say that this equipment is really beneficial for people who want to do their exercises in the privacy of their home.
There are three types of machines that are available in the market. They are the traditionally so called "Hometrainers", which are the basic ones and the second types are the rowing Ergometers and the third type is the Water Rower which are like simulators of dry land boats. The equipment rower works in a particular pattern. It is one of the most challenging indoor exercises and gives a complete workout of the body.

However a word of caution goes along with this equipment. Unlike other equipments that affect the joints and other tissues that are nearby the joints, this equipment may affect you lower back. Therefore, a proper trainer is very necessary for this purpose so that you don't exercise in a wrong way and get the maximum benefit out of this equipment.
